Kitty is Home
The stray kitty that I rescued this morning is back home tonight - with a bit of a lecture on the importance of spaying and microchipping! Turns out that the house across the street with the big dogs was also the kitty's house - she just snuck out this morning. So you can either look at it as me stealing a cat from a neighbor's yard, driving around with it in my car for awhile so that I could have her scanned for a chip or me keeping a kitty safe from harm while the family was at work/school for the day. We'll go with the safe route, although I think it'll be awhile before my friend Julie lets me live down the fact that I rescued a cat from it's own yard!
I also have a couple of new cat pictures to share with you. The first is Gabby, a kitty who got adopted out in November and returned this week because her owner had to move to a place that doesn't allow cats. Poor Gabby, she's so sweet but a little overwhelmed by all the cats here. She's in an isolation cage right now and will go to PetSmart before she has to get used to them.
The other picture that I have is of Fudge, or as my daughter calls him, Mr. Fudge. He came from another foster home who is trying to focus on dogs, so I agreed to take 3 of her problem cats. I also have Jack & Jill from our website. They all have chronic loose stool. We're on trial 4 of a treatment, so we'll see if we get anywhere. Fudgie is pretty - he's not exactly black, he's a dark chocolate brown - hard to get to show up in a photo. Very subtle and very striking! And just oh-so-sweet!!
