Good Reading Material
If you read this and enjoy seeing more sides to animal rescuing than you had previously thought about, you may enjoy reading a couple of other blogs and getting more of an education about animal issues. These are a couple that I read fairly often - please note - I do not endorse everything they say and offer them only so that you can see more sides of important issues facing cats in this country.
The first is Feral Cat News http://catsinthenews.blogspot.com/ - recently they've been talking about the Iowa town that put a $5 bounty on all cats that could be caught and turned in for euthanasia. Local and national groups came forward to assist and the bounty has been repealed! But if more people were educated about Trap/Neuter/Return, it wouldn't have gotten to that point!
The second is http://www.nathanwinograd.blogspot.com/ - Nathan is the author of Redemption which is about the no-kill movement. I don't agree with everything that he says, but he has a lot of facts about deep-pocket animal groups that don't do what you think they should be doing. Very educational and you can form your own opinions about what he has to say.
