Adoptions 3-15-08
We had a spattering of adoptions through the week and a couple over the weekend. Here are the latest!
Dogs: Cooper, Benji, Tater, Oreo
Cats: Mandi, Truffles & Hickory, Catalina, Evie, Monk & Calista
Cooper: cute little pup that we pulled from a pound and ended up with parvo - he surely would've died had we not stepped in to help! Now he has a forever home.
Benji: adorable schnauzer - amazing that he lasted for a couple of adoption weekends
Tater: this well-fed dog was found in a rural pound. Just as friendly as can be, but looked a bit like a tick because his body was so big and round compared to his head. Hopefully his new family can help get some of the weight off. He loves to play ball and his new kids are eager playmates!
Oreo: cute little black & white cocker that I pulled from a kill-shelter. Poor baby has a bladder infection, but is on meds and now has a new home!
Mandi: a new foster's first cat for us, went amazingly fast
Truffles & Hickory: best friends that got adopted out together, returned together and have another shot at a new home, we're just cautious to see how they'll like living with a dog
Catalina: pretty & skinny tortie girl that came from a local shelter, she went to a very nice family. The man was recently divorced and his wife got custody of the pets, so he needed a kitty of his own. We're sure that she'll help him heal from the pain he's been feeling.
Calista: a pretty grey kitty from the same shelter, was very popular and went very fast! No surprise there to us!
Monk: someone saw his picture/bio online and just fell in love - meeting in person sealed the deal and now Monk is in a real home again. He hated going to PetSmart so it is truly a blessing that he found a home through the internet!
Evie: another tortie got adopted 24 hours after her PetSmart debut - she was so sweet and her personality allowed her to easily blend into any home. Since torties were popular this week I should mention that we have 2 more left at PetSmart!
