Adoptions 10-7-07
What a hot weekend to start October with. We had hoped that it would bring a lot of people indoors instead of doing yardwork and watching the leaves turn. I had my cute "ice cream" kittens there and not a one got adopted. Neither did my beautiful bengal Titan. But it wasn't a total loss. Three cats and a dog went home on Saturday, two cats went home on Sunday and two are scheduled to go home tomorrow.
Sidekick: a smooth-coated collie puppy is going to be the pampered boy of a single woman who needed a fur-kid
Terra: cute torbie girl was the first adoption of the day. The woman came to see a different kitten but fell in love with Terra instead.
Darla: she spent weeks coming in and out of PetSmart but it was a little girl who fell in love with her that let that trend end.
Luey: orange tabby kitten who was coming up on his 6 month b-day got to go home to a family with young kids. They wanted a younger kitten but listened to our advice about little kids and little kittens not being a good mix and they let us direct them to a cat that would work with their household.
Sherbert & Spumoni: they got returned when their new mom fell in love with a guy who was anti-cat. They came back very overweight, but very sweet! And their new pet parents were perfect for them!
Keep your fingers crossed that Skunk Mama and Remington go home tomorrow as planned!
